TARGET AUDIENCE

Secondary educators of English Learners including teachers, teacher leaders, and instructional coaches

OVERVIEW

In this four-module learning series, participants will learn how to design academically rigorous learning experiences for English Learners while offering them the supports to simultaneously develop language and disciplinary practices.

We'll be exploring the following overarching themes:

Cancellation/Refund Policy

We offer cancellations and/or full refunds up to 2 weeks prior to course start. Once the course begins, and up to seven calendar days thereafter, participants may withdraw for a 50% refund.

No-Show Policy

If you fail to show up on the day of the event, you will responsible for 100% of the tuition.

FORMAT

All modules require substantive participant engagement and reflection in three phases:

Course must be taken in sequence. QTEL e-Series: A Pedagogy of Promise for English Learners is a total time commitment of 20 hours and consists of a mix of synchronous and asynchronous activities. Each five-hour module includes 3 hours of asynchronous work (including assigned readings) and a 2 hour synchronous Zoom session.

COST

The cost to attend is $900 per participant for a 4-module course ($800 for teams of 4 or more). This fee includes all materials for asynchronous and synchronous learning components. Participants will be enrolled in the course via Canvas, where they can access asynchronous learning tasks to complete between sessions.
