Quality Teaching for English Learners (QTEL)

SERVICES

QTEL offers a variety of on-site and virtual services to develop educators’ capacity to engage English Learners in a high-challenge, high-support approach to pedagogy that accelerates academic literacy and content knowledge development. These services can be fully customized to particular disciplines and to meet the needs of English Learners at any stage of language acquisition for K–12 educators of various disciplinary contents.

QTEL offers educators a variety of opportunities to develop capacity through intensive institutes, one-on-one or collaborative coaching, and professional development certification.

EDUCATOR LEARNING

QTEL works with schools and districts to develop academically rigorous instructional materials for English Learners, providing educators with standards-aligned units and lessons that increase student engagement and academic success.

MATERIALS DEVELOPMENT

QTEL provides partners with comprehensive reviews of English Learner programs which provide specific, data-driven recommendations and suggestions for program advancement.
