Aída Walqui, Senior Research Scientist at WestEd, will serve as Principal Investigator and Director of The National Research and Development Center to Improve Education for Secondary English Learners thanks to a five-year grant from the National Center for Education Research (NCER), within the Institute of Education Sciences (IES). This new research and development center will focus on innovative solutions to improving opportunities and achievement for English Learners in secondary settings.
